    I really like your tool. I have an early 90’s Charvel 375 Deluxe with a Schaller Floyd Rose and the barrel style string lock bolts so the key does not work with my guitar at since it relies on the longer screw type.

    The early Jr.s had the bridge set at an angle , I thought the Mojo Ax bridge was for those models .When did Gibson set the bridge " square " with the strings ?

    I own several guitars, and I must say, this video is among the best I've ever seen. My Ibanez guitar constantly went out of tune within 10 seconds of stretching and tuning it, and this had been happening forever. Every time I came up with a great riff, trying to replicate it was a struggle because the guitar would be out of tune. It was incredibly discouraging, especially since it's my favorite guitar, but dealing with the tuning was a real hassle. I turned to RUclips and stumbled upon your video. I followed the procedure you recommended, unsure of what the final result would be. Miraculously, it worked! I've been playing it for days now, and the tuning is perfect. Thank you so, so much for your help. Please keep these videos coming!

      We are using 3/4" Armourite for the base and the forms. This is an MDF that has a water resistant resin and is MUCH tougher than standard MDF.

    Looks like a well thought out product. I'm cutting my teeth on ukuleles to learn the craft and will eventually graduate to larger instruments, at least that's the plan. Any chance you'll offer a smaller version for us ukulele and small bodied guitar builders at some point? I know you are busy with this product currently, I'm just curious if there might be some consideration for the smaller body instruments in the future?

      Mike - The guitar is in the same state it was in at the end of this video. Shortly after I shot this I had to shift my focus to product development... I'm almost out of the weeds and I've been a few sets of sides with our new bender. I will pick this one back up along with a couple others shortly. I'll actually have some video of our new side bender in action shortly... As for the rental program... I'm waiting on one supplier to deliver, then we'll be ready to go. I'm hoping that happens in the next 2-3 weeks!

    Own this guitar. I hate this floating bridge. When I change strings the bridge tail rises too high. Can't afford a set-up every time I change strings so I blocked the floating bridge with 9 quarters. Also changed out the tuners for locking. Too bad I can't use the trem but someone needs to make a functional trem that doesn't force you to spend all your practice time adjusting the damn thing instead of playing and getting better. Which is the whole point of playing this plank, ffs!

    Very nice! Glad someone is picking up the torch after LMI stopped operating. One thing, especially since you are still in the developmental phase, you may want to put locating pins in both your acrylic template and your side forms so that you can use those locating pins to center your front and back to the sides of the guitar. It's not a new idea and I believe Chris at Driftwood guitar does this and it seems like it would be very helpful.

    • @SkyscraperGuitars
      @SkyscraperGuitars 3 месяца назад

      Yes. My personal forms have pins in them (due to Chris' suggestion. I will ad them to our templates and outside molds. Thank you for reminding me of that detail! Sometimes I get a bit too focused on the thing and forget about the user in the process.

    Is there a set depth for claw screws ? For instance I want to tune to C standard...how would I know if screws are too loose or too tight?

    • @SkyscraperGuitars
      @SkyscraperGuitars 3 месяца назад

      There is no set measurement. As long as you have tension on your springs, you should be good. In some cases you'll tighten the screws and still won't have spring tension. In that case you either need to angle your springs, you need to add another spring or you need to go from standard tension to heavy duty tension.

    • @SkyscraperGuitars
      @SkyscraperGuitars 4 месяца назад

      If the block is still held in firmly, then you need more spring tension. You can add another spring, you can replace your standard tension springs with heavy duty springs or you can angle the springs you have to give them a little more tension.

      @@SkyscraperGuitars thanks so much. I got some new springs, changed to lighter gauge strings and everything works great. Got it set up and a proper float in no time with the trem wedge. I’d been fighting this bridge for a while and never thought about different springs. It’s an Ibanez edge zero II.
